Madison Park Master Bath

Problem:

Outdated master bathroom. Wet areas seemed closed off from other parts, yet, they needed to remain in their current location.

Wishlist:

Update to a classic, sophisticated, stylish look that matches the client's tastes. Having the shower and tub be more integrated in the look of the design.

My solution:

I created a larger opening and removed the relite window to make the space more accessible visually and physically. By designing two cubbies below the window for candles, I was able to anchor the window and create a focal point.

By making the opening to the wet areas (shower and tub) larger, the shower and tub become part of the master bathroom suite. While the gorgeous Calacatta

marble with stainless steel accent makes for a very luxurious 'spa like setting.

My solution:

I replaced the vanity with one I custom designed using Lyptus wood, an environmentally friendly wood, with a rich dark stain to contrast nicely with the marble counter top and chrome fixtures.
